Umrah & Haj Packages for Indian Passport Holders Living Abroad
If you hold an Indian passport and live outside India, you can perform Umrah or Haj with us from wherever you are. Annai Aaysha arranges the visa and the complete journey for Indian passport holders in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, the Gulf, Singapore, Malaysia and beyond. You do not have to return to India first unless you want to - you can fly direct from your country of residence, or travel to Chennai and depart with our group.
Your Indian passport is not an obstacle
The most common question we are asked by Indian families living overseas is whether they have to come back to India to perform Umrah. You do not.
We arrange the visa and the full package for Indian passport holders from their country of residence. Whether you are working in Dubai, settled in New Jersey, studying in Toronto, or raising a family in Kuala Lumpur, the paperwork is handled from our side.
Documentation for pilgrims abroad is handled over phone, email and WhatsApp, in Tamil, English or Urdu - whichever you are most comfortable with. You are not asked to visit our Chennai office in person.
Fly direct, or travel with our Chennai group
Both routes are open to you, and pilgrims choose differently depending on their circumstances.
Flying direct from your country of residence is the shorter journey and suits working professionals with limited leave. We arrange your accommodation, transport, guides and ziyarat in Saudi Arabia, and you join the group there.
Travelling via Chennai suits families who want to collect elderly parents or relatives in India on the way, and those who prefer the reassurance of a group check-in and a guided journey from the first airport to the last.
If you are not sure which suits your family, call us and describe your situation. This is a conversation, not a form.
Where our overseas pilgrims travel from
Gulf: United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain. Many Tamil-speaking families working in the Gulf travel with us specifically because our guides explain each ritual in Tamil.
Southeast Asia: Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.
West: United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and across Europe.
Wherever you are, the service is the same one we have provided from Chennai since 1997 - hotels near the Haram, Tamil-speaking guides, Tamil Nadu food and ziyarat explained properly rather than pointed at from a bus.
Haj as well as Umrah
We arrange Haj for Indian passport holders abroad as well as Umrah. Haj quotas and procedures differ by country of residence and change from year to year, so there is no useful general answer we can publish here.
If you are planning Haj from outside India, speak to us early. The constraints are set well in advance, and the pilgrims who get the arrangements they want are the ones who started the conversation months ahead.
Travelling with other passport holders
We do not only serve Indian passport holders. If your spouse, children or travelling companions hold passports of other countries, we arrange their documentation alongside yours and keep the group together.
Families today are rarely all on one passport. We handle mixed-nationality groups as a matter of routine rather than as an exception - see our page on travelling together when your family is spread across different countries.
